You don’t use RAiD for:

Re-creating research elements that are already recorded as metadata elsewhere by other PID providers, such as:

Crossref DOI – a PID used for journal articles, publications, research documents, papers, articles, books and previously, grants

DataCite DOI – a PID used for grants, software, datasets, instruments, research tools, samples, specimens, recordings and grey literature (i.e. reports or white papers that are not formally published)

ORCID – a PID used for individual contributors, such as researchers, journal authors and any received scholarships

ROR – a PID used for research organisations, funders, publishers, service providers and facilities

Sharing information about closed or confidential projects or activities with others, including any non-public or sensitive commercial, defence or government research information.
